I drilled a small hole in a 3/4" wooden ball, and affixed the cannon from the Merkava to it, at a slight angle.
Using some epoxy, I filled the gab in the base of the basilisk platform. I pressed a sphreical indentation into the epoxy, so that when the 3/4" ball is placed in the indentation it can spin. I then fixed a length of toothpick into the center of the indentation in the epoxy, and let it dry.
Placing the wooden ball I had prepared onto the toothpick, so that the Mercava cannon could swivel, I then capped the toothpick with some more epoxy and let it dry.
I glued the wagon platform to the scaffolding, and added a length of seige ladder to the back of the platform.
